COCONUT CHUTNEY











Ingredients:---

Freshly grated coconut (remove the brown skin) - 1 cup
Green chillies - 2-3
Roasted chana (without skin) - 1 tbsp
Sugar - 1/2 tsp Garlic - 2 flakes (optional)
salt to taste
Tempering (chownk)
Oil - 2 tsp
Sarson - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli - 1 (broken into small pieces)
Few curry leaves

Method
1. Grind coconut, Roasted chana, green chillies, garlic together, by adding enough water to make a thick paste, Grind finely.
2. Add a little salt to taste and sugar Remove chutney into a serving bowl.
3. Heat oil in a small heavy bottomed pan, Reduce flame & add sarson, red chilli.
4. Add curry leaves.
5. Pour the chownk on the chutney.
6. Serve chutney with dosas, idlis & vadas.
