CHANA DAL VADAS

Ingredients:---

Chana dal - 1 cup (soaked),
Onion - 1 (chopped finely),
Ginger - 1 tsp (grated),
Green chillies - 2 (chopped),
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp (chopped),
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp,
Garam masala - 1 tsp,
Baking powder - 1 pinch,
Salt to taste,
Oil for frying,

Method

1. Of the soaked dal, keep 1/4 aside as such and churn the rest 3/4 in a mixer coarsely.
2. Mix onion, ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, garam masala, baking powder to the paste including the 1/4 dal which was kept aside.
3. Give a flat shape and half fry them.
4. Take them out and press them and fry again.
5. Serve hot with green chutney.
