SUKHI DAL (Moong dal)

Ingredients:---

Split moong dal (dhuli dal) - 1 cup,
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp,
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp,
Salt to taste,
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp,
Asofoetida - 1 pinch,
Lemon juice - 1 tsp,
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp (chopped),
Oil - 1 tbsp,

Method

1. Clean, wash and soak dal for an hour.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
3. Add soaked dal and 2 cups water. When comes to boil, add turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt.
4. Simmer on low flame till water evaporates.
5. Add lemon juice and mix gently.
6. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
