PANEER CHILLA (MOONG DAL CHILLA)

Ingredients:---

Moong dal (yellow) -1 cup,
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp,
Salt to taste,
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp,
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp,
Filling-
Paneer (cottage cheese) - 200 gms (grated),
Onion - 1 tbsp (finely chopped),
Pomegranate seeds (anar) - 2 tbsp,
Green chilli - 1 (finely chopped),
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp,
Oil - 2 tbsp,
Salt to taste,
Chaat masala - 1 tsp,

Method

1. Soak dal for 2-3 hrs. Grind with 1 cup water to a smooth batter.
2. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin seeds and salt. Keep aside.
3. Mix grated paneer with onion, green chilli, anar, coriander leaves, salt and chaat masala and mix.
4. To prepare the chillas, heat non stick tava (not too hot), smeer 1 tsp oil in the center.
5. Spread 1 ladle (1/4 cup) batter to make a chilla of about 4" diameter. After a few seconds, pour some oil on the sides.
6. When the underside is brown, put one handful of filling in the center and fold from both sides (Roll it up like dosa).
7. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
Note : To prepare the next chilla, turn off the gas. Cool the tawa by sprinkling some water. Wipe clean and repeat the process.
