VADA SAMBHAR

Ingradients:---

Dhuli urad dal (split black gram dal) - 1 cup,
Hing (asafoetida ) powder - 1/4 tsp,
Green chillies (finely chopped) - 3,
Ginger Grated - 1/2"
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp,
Salt to taste,
Baking powder - tsp,
Oil for frying,

Method

1. Soak the dal for 2 hours only. Drain & grind dal along with hing to a thick, rough paste using very little water Do not make it too smooth.
2. Mix green chillies, grated ginger, coriander leaves, salt & baking powder. Beat well (vigorously) for 2-3 minutes till fluffy. Do not keep the paste aside but fry vadas immediately.
3. Heat oil in a kadhai. Wet the palm, spread 1 tbsp paste on in, make a hole in the center and give the rounded shape.
4. Then slip the vada gently in oil. Fry the vadas till golden brown.
5. Serve hot with coconut chutney & sambhar.
